Born in Venice in 1935, Tobia Scarpa is the son of well known architect Carlo Scarpa with his wife Afra, they began working at the Venini glassworks in Murano in the 1950s. After a decade the couple opened their own design studio and soon collaborated with major designers brands such as Flos, Cassina, B&B Italia and Knoll.
