Missy Decor x Room 13: A Night of Dreams at 14 Cavendish

London, 13 October 2025. On the eve of Frieze Week, Missy Decor joined the art world’s newest members club, Room 13 for its inaugural celebration: A Night of Dreams. Hosted within the characterful walls of 14 Cavendish Square, the evening unfolded as an intimate gathering of collectors, artists and friends. A fusion of art, design and imagination that captured the very essence of London’s creative pulse.

“There’s nowhere else like London. Nothing at all, anywhere,” once said Vivienne Westwood. A sentiment that echoed through every detail of the night. From the unfinished textures of 14 Cavendish Square’s storied interiors to the experimental interplay of music, scent and form, A Night of Dreams felt like a celebration of transformation, of spaces, ideas and connections.

For this debut, Missy Decor brought together an exceptional selection of collectible furniture and lighting. A dialogue between design eras that perfectly complemented the evolving character of the venue. Iconic space age tables, postmodern chairs and Italian sofas from the 1960s through the 1980s created vignettes of timeless allure. Among the highlights were designs by Pierre Cardin, Peter Strassl and the instantly recognisable Nuvolone Sofa. Each piece a sculptural statement in its own right.

The contrast between Missy Decor’s refined design language and the raw beauty of 14 Cavendish created something electric. The setting, still mid transformation, offered an authenticity rarely found in traditional venues and a reminder that design is not static, but living and in dialogue with its surroundings.

The event itself was a collaborative tour de force. Room 13, founded by Anna Maja Spiess, Max Mallows and Mike Holford whose vision for the club is to connect art world insiders through experience and place, brought together an impressive list of creative partners. Alongside Missy Decor’s design showcase were Thames Carpets, presenting beautifully woven Iranian rugs recently featured in the Financial Times’ How To Spend It. Laura Flowers, whose installations brought the rooms to life with sculptural blooms. Dr. Hauschka, offering a sensory touch up and scent experience and X MUSE and Ruinart, who curated the evening’s refined drinks offering.

Each floor of the townhouse offered a new encounter, from champagne welcomes and intimate tea rooms to the attic turned lounge, where Missy Decor’s sculptural pieces framed conversations deep into the night. The interplay between design, light and sound transformed the unfinished house into something poetic. A space suspended between what it was and what it could become.

For Missy Decor, A Night of Dreams was more than an event, it was a reflection of a shared philosophy. Both Room 13 and Missy Decor understand that design and art are not isolated disciplines but living expressions of culture. This collaboration celebrated that meeting point where craftsmanship meets atmosphere, where history meets innovation and where beauty is not only seen but felt.

It also marks the beginning of a new chapter. As Room 13 launches its journey as a global art world members club, with plans to curate experiences across international cities, Missy Decor is proud to be among its first creative partners. This collaboration signals what’s to come. A series of encounters where interiors become stories and where design continues to shape the way we live, gather and dream.
