It’s that time of year and Frieze Week is upon us once again. A vibrant and highly anticipated celebration of contemporary art that brings artists, collectors and art enthusiasts from around the world to London. This year’s edition of Frieze London, running from October 11 to 23rd, promises a dazzling array of exhibitions, pop-ups, and performances that highlight the city’s thriving art scene. Known for its innovative and eclectic spirit, Frieze Week isn’t just a gallery event, it’s a citywide cultural takeover with some of the most inspiring works of contemporary art being showcased in unique spaces across London.
At Missy Decor, we are thrilled to be a part of this dynamic art week. One of our carefully curated pieces will be displayed at POST HUMAN VI, a Pop-up Art Gallery set in a stunning penthouse in Marylebone Square. The exhibition is a cross-continental conversation between 18 contemporary artists, spanning across London, Birmingham, New York, Los Angeles, and Mexico City. This extraordinary event is curated by the visionary Tobias Ross-Southall and offers an exceptional experience to witness the intersection of diverse cultures, perspectives, and artistic practices.
The Friday Main Event is at max capacity, but due to popular demand, they are now opening a special session on Sunday from 2-6pm. From 11th-23rd October, POST HUMAN VI will be open by appointment only. Contact them to discover this cool exhibition and make sure to visit!
Missy Decor’s Iconic Italian Sofas
We are proud to display a set of three Italian sofas at this exhibition, comprising two armchairs and one three seater sofa, all upholstered in striking red leather, designed by the renowned Italian brand, IpeBrevetti. These bold, modernist pieces capture the essence of timeless design, offering a good contrast to the urban sophistication of the penthouse setting. Our collaboration with POST HUMAN VI goes beyond just the furniture on display. It is an exploration of how art and design can create a dialogue. It is also how the form and function of a beautifully crafted piece can resonate in a space filled with visionary artistic expressions.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Christina Zahra, Creative Director of CMJZ ARTS, for including us in this exceptional exhibition and allowing Missy Decor to become a part of this creative journey.
