Missy Decor is delighted to announce an exclusive collaboration with renowned glass artist Kira Phoenix K’inan. From now until the end of February 2025, visitors to our Primrose Hill gallery can experience a curated selection of Kira’s exquisite glass sculptures, seamlessly integrated with our collection of unique mid century vintage furniture and decorative art pieces.
Kira Phoenix K’inan is a London-based artist and designer celebrated for her innovative approach that bridges fine art and craft. Her diverse body of work encompasses intricate glass sculptures, detailed works on paper, ephemeral installations, and multi-exposure photography. Raised amidst a vibrant community of artists on Lamma Island, Hong Kong, Kira developed a profound connection to nature and a boundless imagination, both of which profoundly influence her creations. Her signature technique, known as Relief Glass Drawing, involves labor intensive processes that result in vivid, textured pieces responding dynamically to natural light, casting dancing shadows and shifting tones.
This collaboration offers a unique opportunity to witness the harmonious blend of Kira’s contemporary glass sculptures with Missy Decor’s vintage collections. Each piece has been thoughtfully selected to complement our existing collection, creating a dialogue between past and present, tradition and innovation. Visitors are invited to explore the gallery, experience the dynamic interplay of light and form in Kira’s work, and discover the stories behind each curated item.
